The Best LED Face Masks of 2025: A Buyer's Shortlist

Five masks worth your money this year.

January 14, 2025 · The Radia Atelier

There are now over fifty at-home LED masks on the market. Most are not worth your money. Five are. Here is the shortlist, with a clear methodology so you can audit our picks.

How we ranked them

  • FDA Class II clearance — non-negotiable.
  • Wavelength stack includes both 633 nm red and 830 nm near-infrared.
  • Flexible form factor that maintains skin contact.
  • Independent third-party reviews, not influencer-only buzz.
  • Warranty of at least 18 months.

The shortlist

1. Radia Halo

Our pick for best overall value. FDA-cleared, 633 nm + 830 nm, 132 LEDs, flexible silicone, 10-minute sessions, 2-year warranty.

2. CurrentBody Skin LED Mask

The brand-name benchmark. Same wavelengths, more expensive. Buy if you have brand loyalty.

3. Omnilux Contour Face

Strong clinical heritage, premium price. Wired controller is the drawback.

4. Dr. Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite Pro

Rigid plastic, no near-infrared. Skip unless you already own one.

5. Shark CryoGlow

Interesting hybrid. Best if you also want under-eye cryotherapy.

Frequently asked

Is there a cheap LED mask worth buying?
Under $150, almost universally no. Cheap masks cut corners on irradiance and wavelength accuracy, which means you sit under the device for 10 minutes and absorb a non-therapeutic dose.
Are Amazon LED masks any good?
Amazon LED masks rarely disclose actual irradiance and almost never carry FDA clearance. They may flash red, but flashing red is not therapy.
