LED Mask at Home vs In-Clinic LED Treatment: Worth the Spa Trip?
The math on spa LED versus home LED.
January 14, 2025 · The Radia Atelier
In-clinic LED panels are larger and more powerful per square centimetre than at-home masks. They also cost $50–$120 per 20-minute session and require you to drive somewhere. Here is how the value math works out.
Dose accumulates with consistency
One spa session at high irradiance does not match ten home sessions at lower irradiance, but it does not need to. Cellular response is dose-driven over weeks. A consistent home protocol delivers more total dose per year than a monthly spa visit, often for less than the cost of two spa sessions.
Hybrid approach
Use a home mask 3–5 times per week. Add a spa visit before major events for an acute glow boost. Best of both.
